AEG Facilities Affiliated Arenas Sell 57 Percent of All Concert Tickets in Top 20 Arenas Worldwide

AEG Facilities led Billboard’s 2019 Midyear Boxscore Chart with 11 affiliated arenas appearing on the list of the Top 20 arenas worldwide based on ticket sales. Among the two categories of arenas (based on capacity), AEG Facilities venues accounted for 7 of the 10 top performing arenas with a capacity of 10,001-15,000 – accounting for 80.5 percent of total tickets sold in the category – and four of the 10 arenas with a capacity of 15,001 or more – accounting for 44.5 percent of total tickets in the category. In total, AEG Facilities affiliated venues accounted for more than 4.9 million tickets sold in the first half of 2019. Statistics and rankings were compiled by the well-respected music and entertainment industry publication Billboard.

AEG’s The O2 in London, which has led industry rankings every year since it opened in 2007, hosted 112 events and sold more than 1.2 million tickets in the first half of 2019 to gross more than $104 million.

Billboard ’s 2019 Midyear Boxscore Report is calculated based on total gross amount earned from ticket sales vs. number of tickets sold.
