Part-time Security Officers
The Part Time Security Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of Pechanga Arena San Diego patrons, employees, and assets. Guard Card required.

Usher –
The usher/ticket takes position has the most interaction with our guests during events, and as such must provide excellent customer service and exceed our guests’ expectations. The usher position is responsible for properly checking guests’ tickets as they enter the seating areas, concourses, and other areas of the facility. The usher must properly direct guests to their seats, and to other services around the facility including restrooms, concessions, first-aid, and other event-specific locations as directed by the Event Manager. The usher is responsible for their assigned area and is charged with observing that all guests in their area are following all policies and code of conduct requirements. The usher is also responsible for providing general assistance and customer service to guests as needed, in a friendly and helpful manner. This is a part-time, hourly, event-based position.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet and interact with all guests in a welcoming and friendly manner.
  • Check guest’s ticket, and ensure the guest is in the proper seating section.
  • Direct guests to their ticketed seats, or to the appropriate seating section.
  • Ensure that only guests with the proper ticket are sitting in assigned section.
  • Monitor seating area for guests who may not be in correct area.
  • Keep aisles, concourses, and stairs clear of guests while event is in progress.
  • Answer guest questions with regard to event and facility, e.g. location of particular section, restrooms, concession stand, first-aid, etc.
  • Handle complaints, disturbances, or related problems with guests. Forward complaint to supervisor or Event Manager as applicable.
  • Ensure guests are following all policies and code of conduct requirements.
  • Report issues or violations to supervisor or Event Manager.
  • Inspect assigned work area prior to and during event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, personal injuries, etc. Report issues to supervisor or Event Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Event Manager.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be proactive in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, interacting with multiple departments.
  • Understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Able to see and read small-sized text on tickets (paper & electronic).

 Candidates should possess the following qualities/skills:

  • Friendly, outgoing personalities
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Reliable, punctual, excellent attendance
  • Ability to take direction and work well with others
  • Feel comfortable dealing with high stress situations or around large crowds

Porter –

Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Day Porter to perform day-to-day building maintenance at our company facility. Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common room areas, restocking bathrooms and responding to all cleaning emergencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Clean all common room areas including the kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room.
  • When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs.
  • Monitor, clean and service washrooms.
  • Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crises.
  • Remove litter and rubbish from main common rooms.
  • Help order supplies required for facility maintenance.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Must be reliable and professional.
  • Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.

 The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable.

  Required Qualifications:

  • 6 – 12 months’ porter experience.

Diego The Mascot –

Diego attends various sporting events and concerts, and occasionally outside community events, and interacts with the public. Diego is a super cool surfer dude, who acts as the arena’s official mascot and guest ambassador.

This exciting position will offer the selected individual/s the opportunity to experience the live entertainment and sports industries by executing grassroots marketing initiatives. This Diego performer requires a friendly, pro-active attitude. We want you to have fun with it!

In order to make as many appearances as possible, it is important that alternate mascots be available. Applicants should have a positive reputation with children. Anyone performing as a mascot will have to adhere to guidelines put forth by arena management to ensure the consistent perception of each mascot. Schedule is very flexible and includes evenings and holidays. Previous mascot experience preferred with a short video clip of your performance skills.
